You Can’t Start A Fire Without A Spark
Coming at you with 24 tracks on the Better Spins playlist this week to help you round out Q3 and prepare for the onslaught of Halloween decorations (don’t worry, we’re still at least 3 weeks out from Christmas decorations).
- Flume, Vera Blue – Rushing Back. Since resurfacing earlier this year, Flume has been putting out some…let’s call them unique tunes. This is probably the closest I’ve heard to his old style and personally my fav of his recent production.
- k?d, Blair – Distance – k?d usually reminds me of Porter, but this track is def more Madeon. I ain’t mad about it.
- Russ – RENT FREE. “I live inside my enemies’ head rent free.”
- Billie Eilish – bad guy. I was today years old when I realized her name is “eye-lish” and not “ell-ish”.
- Brett Raio, Ruslan – Summertime. As the leaves are changing, this smooth flow is exactly what I needed to soak up the last rays of summer.
- Jai Wolf – Lose My Mind (ft. Mr. Gabriel). “Dinner prep vibes” ~T Dot
Honorable Mentions
- Paul Oakenfold, Shifty Shellshock – Starry Eyed Surprise. Wonder why this song reminds you of Butterfly? That’s cuz ol’ Shifty (who once got kicked off the Ozzfest lineup for being too drunk) is also the lead singer of Crazy Town.
- Duskus – I can change your mind. Doesn’t really grab me tbh but new Foreign Family Collective is new Foreign Family Collective. Will be interesting to see what he comes out with when he drops his first EP later this year, his first and made possible by FFC.
- Earth Wind and Fire – September. Seems ironic to post this a week late, but I hope your “hearts were ringing in the key that our souls were singing as we danced in the night.”
