A Suit And Tie Always Felt Wrong

Got a full slate for y’all this week, 25 tracks from jam bands to bangers.

  • Scissor Sisters – I Don’t Feel Like Dancin’. O rly? Changle accepted.
  • The Avalanches – Because I’m Me. HOVA rap stylings meets 50s gospel influences from an Australian group with punk roots.
  • Quinn XCII – Stacy (Acoustic). The strings on this track are freaking amazing.
  • Fatboy Slim – Gangster Trippin (Sultan + Shepard Remix). Much more trippin than gangster.
  • DJ Shadow – Rocket Fuel (ft. De La Soul). Almost got a 90s Jockjams vibe to it.
  • NGHTMRE, Slander – Gud Vibrations. I have wanted to see the Gud Vibrations show since they started this collab project back in 2016, getting to see them kick off their Alchemy Tour w/ Glitch Mob and Seven Lions made it that much sweeter.

Honorable Mentions

  • Conkarah – Banana (ft. Shaggy). I will never hear “daylight come and me wanna go home” the same way again.
  • ATTLAS – Sunsets Over Manaan. Real nerds know that Manaan’s the only place in the galaxy you can find kolto. Regular nerds will get excited for any track built around Star Wars samples.
  • Jade Cicada – Wubbalubbadubdub. Birdperson might disagree, but in my people’s tongue it means “this is a vibe.”
