Avicii’s Posthumous Album TIM Drops
Avicii’s posthumous album TIM finally dropped last week and I am super grateful we as fans have an opportunity to experience his final work.
While Avicii came to be known for dance bangers, this is decidedly not a dance album.

My favorite track is definitely Heaven, which carries even more emotional weight in the wake of Tim’s suicide. I found it interesting that this is the only track on the album where the collaborator isn’t credited, especially considering that collaborator is Chris Martin from Coldplay.
Vargas & Lagola, the fellow Swedes who helped produce Hey Brother, You Make Me, Waiting for Love, and Without You, were involved in some of my other standout tracks on this album. Tough Love had me rethinking how badass the violin can be and Excuse Me Mr Sir had a really playful syncopated beat that hit me in all the right places.
Other crowd favorites include the Imagine Dragons bass-heavy collab and a really unique melding of styles on Hold the Line (ft. A R I Z O N A).
