Chance the Rapper Drops The Big Day

Chance the Rapper dropped The Big Day last week, his first new album since Coloring Book with 22 tracks of that smooth Chicago flow. I know at least 1 little man who has been anxiously awaiting this next project…

Chance certainly brought the heat, kicking off with back-to-back tracks recorded with powerhouses John Legend and Death Cab for Cutie (trust me, it works). He keeps it in the family on Roo with his brother Taylor Bennett and brings in other rappers including Gucci Mane and Nicki Minaj (twice).

If you thought Death Cab was an odd choice, wait until you hear 5 Year Plan with Randy Newman (yea…the You’ve Got a Friend in Me guy).

Weirdly, one of my least favorite tracks on the record is his collab with Francis and the Lights, which is surprising considering May I Have This Dance is probably my fav Chance track of all time.
