Glass Animal’s Back On Tour After Joe Seawards Cycling Accident
Glass Animals are back on tour nearly 2 years after drummer Joe Seaward was hit by a truck while cycling, snapping his femur and causing a complex brain fracture that left him unable to walk or talk. To say he’s lucky to be alive would be an understatement.

As they head back out on the road, they wanted to return to their roots and play a slate of super intimate venues to “remind us what we almost lost.” We’re talking venues w/ capacity of ~500 like U St. Music Hall in DC or Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn.
The problem with a massively popular band playing such small gigs means tickets sell out faster than [insert sexual innuendo here]. I was personally logged on at 12pm on the dot only to have my heart broken when tickets became unavailable before the clock struck 12:01.
To their credit, the boys are making a deliberate effort to undercut the resale market by printing the buyers name on the ticket and requiring a matching photo ID to get in the door. Guess I’ll have to rely on prolific social media user @bradcheung11 to satisfy my FOMO.
