My Loneliness Ain’t Killing Me No More

Just because I haven’t been writing doesn’t mean I haven’t been listening. Jacked up the Better Spins playlist this week to 32 tracks. Some highlights:

• Big Gigantic – Higher. The whole album is a vibe, so bummed they had to cancel the Free Your Mind in 3D tour.
• David Bowie – Nuts. Previously unreleased Bowie trying his hand at drum-and-bass. Kinda weird but at the same time…kinda dig it.
• Tritonal – Valkyrie. This song hit me the first time and I forgot to tag it. When it hit me the second time I knew it was a keeper.
• All Time Low – Sleeping In. These guys have done 9 studio albums and 6 EPs and they’re still putting out new shit in 2020. #EmoForLife
• San Holo, Broods – Honest. I’ve loved their vocals for years but I was today years old when I learned that Broods is actually 2 people (a brother-sister duo no less).
• Cage the Elephant, Beck – Night Running. I love collabs that aren’t even from left field, they’re still out tailgating in the parking lot.
• Lotus – Umbilical Moonrise. Favorite track title of recent memory.

Honorable Mentions

• Chet Porter, Alison Wonderland – Bummed. Chet Porter is the Noam Pikelny of electronic music.
• Jaden – Icon. Yep, that Jaden.
• Britney Spears – Stronger. If Britney can get through 2007, we can get through 2020.
