Room Service Festival 2020
Room Service festival was last weekend and damn if I wasn’t impressed by the strength of the lineup but also the quality of the performances. All the artists broadcast from home and the proceeds went toward Feeding America and Sweet Relief Musician’s Fund.

My favorite part was how each artist set up their performance space. Some recorded in their studio, others on the roof or the couch. Some had a single mounted camera, others wove in their own visuals or used multi-camera angles
Some of my favorite memories:
- Two Friends – Spinning mashups from the pool.
- RAC – Had to kick his cat out…twice.
- Kasbo – Apparently his first DJ set!
- CloZee – As a man who has thrown many blacklight parties in my day, I had serious ultraviolet envy.
- Chromeo – I counted 18 keyboards wired up in their studio.
- Rezz – “Fuck, I miss shows.”
- Clean Bandit B2B 220 Kid – How do you do a back to back during lockdown? You mount a camera to a drone and go rooftop-to-backyard across London.
New finds include Elderbrook (Bonobo with more vocals) and Apashe (CloZee meets a Michael Bay movie).
