Welcome To The Neotheater
18 tracks on the Better Spins playlist this week. Some highlights:
- AJR – Next Up Forever. “This is my imagination, this is how it looks and sounds.”
- Bring Me Home – Madeleine Brossier, Shing02. Super flowy, feathery vocals tell the story more through melody than lyrics.
- Hotel Garuda – Head in the Trees. He opened for Jai Wolf for a stretch of The Cure to Loneliness tour, if you dig on Jai you’ll def want to check this dude out.
- Oliver Tree – Hurt. New age grunge. Weird looking dude, would never match his look w/ his sound.

- Smallpools – Stumblin’ Home. This track has been stuck in my head for weeks and I ain’t even mad. Super catchy and colorful.
- Midnight Pool Party – Disease. Daft Punk’y production on this track from one of the cooler band names I’ve come across lately. Other than Friends of Pluto, of course.
- Ashe – Nobide. Carry me away with that jazz.
Honorable Mentions
- The Spinners – The Rubberband Man. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. I was my first ever vinyl, gotta give a shoutout to their entrance track from Infinity War.
- Idris Elba – Ballie (ft. Kah-Lo). I was today years old when I learned that Idris Elba was a DJ. Track is meh but impressive to see People’s Sexiest Man Alive working the turntables.
- Collective Soul – Right As Rain. These guys were my first concert back in 2005, love that they’re still putting out new music.
