I Think I Just Died and Went to Heaven
16 tracks on the Better Spins playlist this week, with 7 of them start with the letter A. Coincidence? I think so.
- Anamanaguchi – Capsule Silence. One of Porter’s largely-unknown influences…if Worlds was a genre, this track would be it.
- The Killers – Somebody Told Me (King Unique Remix). This is one of the best remixes of a non-dance track I’ve heard in a long time.
- Amtrac – Madness to Mayhem. Has an almost Empire of the Sun vocal quality but very different overall production.
- Oliver Tree – Hurt (NGHTMRE remix). I wrote about this Oliver Tree track a few weeks ago (the “American-based vocalist, producer, filmmaker and professional scooter rider from Santa Cruz, California”), but this NGHTMRE cut is dirty.
- Slushii ft. Sofia Reyes – Never Let You Go (Knarf Knarf remix). If you’re going to threepeat remix recs, at least make sure you throw some love to a super obscure DJ that sounds like he got his moniker from a Rick and Morty name generator. Dope track though.
- Bassnectar, Vindata – The Mothership. Drooling over this album art.

Honorable Mentions
- Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber – I Don’t Care (Jonas Blue Remix). This remix was way better than the original. Like, by a lot.
- Guster – Two Points for Honesty. When writing out the setlist for a show, they use Deux as shorthand to refer to this track.
- Jai Wolf – Indian Summer (Kasbo remix). Summertime, baby!
