New Louis the Child Playground Radio is straight 🔥.
It’s almost unfair to hit me with Madeon right out the gate, but they also tickled that pluko nerve early on to make me a believer. 21 Savage whisper rapping on the Metro Boomin track was so different but weirdly so perfect.
The LTC boys just started their residency at KAOS (pronounced “chaos”), which is about the most Vegas thing I’ve ever heard. Name aside, apparently the space is freaking baller.
The ceiling is all LED screen that are broken up into sections and there’s this huge Tesla coil that you can play like an organ (the energy going through it rings at a frequency and you can play MIDI into it).
They brought in the Midnight Kids for a guest mix which was super solid.
They came right out and said “it kinda goes from this dark to light” starting with “French house dirty” and then it goes into the “light, more fun, dancy, groovy. It’s just weird and fun.”
Definitely feel these guys were in Second Sky mode lately, they slipped in Shelter around 45mins and went old school with Say My Name sample late in the set.
Fun fact: Dylan from Midnight Kids is the son of Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson.
Been a long time since one of the best has graced us with his indie-tronic chillwave vibes.
