Oh No Please God Tell Me We’re Dreaming
16 tracks on the Better Spins playlist this week. Some highlights:
- Grizfolk – Bob Marley. Ever find yourself somehow singing along to a song you’ve never heard before?
- Van Morrison – Fire in the Belly (Alternate Version). Morrison is reissuing select tracks this month, originally recorded in the late 90s. If you thought his vocals hit you in the feels before, wait ‘til you hear this.
- k?d – Electronic Memories (ft. Mickey Kojak)

- The Heavy – Burn Bright. Such groovy.
- Kasabian – Fire. Named the band after Charles Manson’s getaway driver-turned-state witness. So yeah, they’re pretty alternative.
- The Band CAMINO – Less Than I Do. Nothing captures raw emotion quite like a breakup song. Can’t put it any better than Poptized magazine, who described the track as “melancholy, admitting defeat and relying on nuance to relay the complicated amalgamation of emotions that come with still caring [for] someone even after the relationship has ended.
Honorable Mentions
- Smallpools – Dreaming. Was awesome to see these guys back at 930 Club as a headliner.
- Marshmello, CHVRCHES – Here With Me. I’m shocked it has taken so long for ‘Mello to bring in Lauren Mayberry for vocals, she’s the perfect complement to his style of production. Fun fact: she holds a law degree and a Master’s in Journalism.
- Flogging Molly – Drunken Lullabies. Erin Go Bragh!
