I Already Got A Good Thing With Me
Little something for everyone on Better Spins this week: 18 tracks from country to experimental bass to opera.
- G Jones – Dark Artifact. The first single to drop off his new EP, billed as the epilogue to The Ineffable Truth.
- LA Riots – House is a Feeling. Can confirm.
- Lost Kings, Emily Warren – Phone Down. The Chainsmokers credit Emily as their favorite person to write songs with.
- Cashmere Cat – WATERGIRL. You sample 90s Christina Aguilera, you make the playlist. Every time.
- Bronze Radio Return – Further On. Paul Simon-esque vocals with a heavy helping of upbeat indie and a dash of harmonica.
- Cheat Codes, Kriss Kross Amsterdam – Sex. This track has been streamed over 540M times. Apparently we love talkin’ bout sex, baby.
- Zedd, Kehlani – Good Thing. I’ve been so damn spoiled by over-the-top production lately.

Honorable Mentions
- Discotron – You Know My Name (Radio Mix). I logged a lot of hours in high school bumping Ol’ Dirty Bastard. Hearing this sample takes me right back to the bucket seats of Pete’s 3000GT, double popped collar and a bag of Thornton’s mix-and-match.
- Minus Ned – III. Speaking of high school, gotta send some love to the hometown boys with this smooth and sexy vibe.
- Andrea Bocelli, Ellie Goulding – Return to Love. According to Celine Dion, “‘if God had a singing voice, it would sound a lot like Andrea Bocelli.” Throwback to the 5-CD changer from my childhood home.
