Apparently I have spent so much time focused on the newsletter that I wasn’t doing enough to promote the corresponding playlist.

Phoenix – Lisztomania. This whole album was the coming out party for the French group that helped defined the indie rock genre.
Erykah Badu, James Poyser – Tempted. If you asked me to listen to an Eddie Money cover by anyone other than Erykah, I’d laugh in your face.
Koan – Agartha. If you dig on CloZee, you’ll wanna check out this track. (h/t @andypantspants)
Tauk – Mokuba. Jam sesh a la SunSquabi/String Cheese Incident.
Bonobo – Linked. Vibey goodness.
Earth Wind & Fire – Reasons. Cheers to @knucklepuckdc for weathering the monsoon and Earth Wind & Fire (& Rain?) for showing us why they’ve been selling out venues for over 50 years.

Lost Kings – FU4E. Maybe trying a little too hard at a post-breakup Love Yourself anthem here (I call it the Meghan Trainor Effect) but I dig it.
Enrique Iglesias – Bailamos. Enrique, why can’t I quit you??
The Knocks, Wankelmut – Retrograded (Wankelmut remix). Damnit, I wanted to name my band Wankelmut!
