Got some old school tech house coming your way this morning from the legend Steve Lawler’s elrow Town set (h/t Merola). When this dude started DJ’ing as a teenager, he was too young to play in “proper” clubs so naturally he started throwing his own illegal parties in an unused tunnel under the M42 in London. Like you do.
In a 2005 interview with ClubPlanet, Steve said the vibe of the room is the most important thing in a DJ set.
I need the room to be dark and sweaty and I want to get it vibed up. When I get people to the point of where they just about to explode – they are gagging for it and I give it to them.
