NEW PORTER! Something Comforting Single Follows Up Get Your Wish

Did you really think I wasn’t going to write about new Porter??

Something Comforting is definitely different from Get Your Wish, but still very much Porter. I love the piano and the fact that this is his first track to feature an acoustic guitar. Fun fact: his only other track to feature a guitar or any kind is Flicker.

I find it so cool how he uses almost bipolar vocals skipping between the distorted high pitch and his normal voice. To me this is his interpretation of how we all struggle with competing impulses in our mind, emotional highs and lows, and contradicting instincts.

Really starting to see the new album taking shape, another deeply emotional track that feels like the triumph over a dark period.
