Let Me Introduce You to the Voices in My Head
12 tracks on the Better Spins playlist this week. Some highlights
- The Knocks – Brazilian Soul (ft. Sofi Tukker). Half of the tracks on the playlist this week were pulled from this track’s Spotify radio (h/t @andypantspants)
- Louis the Child (with NoMBe & Big Gigantic) – Save Me From Myself. “Let me introduce you to the voices in my head. They misbehave every chance they get.”
- Joywave – It’s a Trip! Alt-rock influences with heady vocals. If you dig on Sir Sly, Atlas Genius, The Moth & The Flame, these guys are def worth checking out.
- Nujabes – Luv (sic) pt4 (ft. Sing02). Great flow with an even better melody.
- Lemaitre – Big (ft. Timbuktu). Vocally-driven, feel good electro-house with flow from a Swedish rapper and reggae artist. Fun fact: The duo are named for the Belgian priest credited as the Father of the Big Bang Theory.
Honorable Mentions
- SunSquabi – Reptile. The Squab brought the “electric hydro funk experience” and threw down a 2hr set that tops my list for 2019.
- Capital Cities, Andre 3000 – Farah Fawcett Hair. This is what you get when you merge Outkast influences to indie electropop.
- Win and Woo – In Love Again. Just dance, baby.
