Radio Plays What They Want You To Hear
19 tracks on the playlist this week, hope you’re ready to dance!
- Lindsey Stirling – The Upside (ft. Elle King). Melding of violin, drumpad, and muted electronic beats gave me chills. Elle King must be in the first constructive relationship of her life, that pained edge to her vocals melts into the melodies and you can really hear how strong her voice is.
- El Ten Eleven – Fanshawe. Birthed from the same well as Tycho.
- Tame Impala – Let It Happen (Soulwax Remix). I flagged this track off Mija’s FK A GENRE playlist the same week that @amerol1 sent it out through our group text. Apparently the Currents collectors vinyl includes this remix, which should tell you something about how Kevin feels about their take.
- End of the World, Clean Bandit – Lost. Feel good dance vibes.
- Blink 182 – Darkside. I would give anything to know 15yo @annesnyder rockin’ out to Blink.

- Clear Vinyl – Foolish. Has got that 90s soft alt rock sound.
- Dimond Saints – Make it Through. Imagine CloZee production with much darker vocals.
- String Cheese Incident – Rosie. And you thought O.A.R.’s 22 minute rendition of Crazy Game of Poker was impressive…

Honorable Mentions
- Reel Big Fish – Sell Out. Bring back the skaaaaaaa!
- Zedd – True Colors. Heard this playing at Starbucks…EDM is officially mainstream, fam.
- Triode – Till We Dance Again. Chris is one of the most talented programmers I’ve ever worked with, stoked to see his trance career starting to take off with his original track featured on Armin van Buuren’s A State of Trance 925.
